Long Distance

Two cities. One piece. The exact number of miles between them.

Nobody else prints both sets of coordinates, the distance, and the date you last stood in the same room — on one piece, set by hand, in a typeface that was chosen rather than defaulted to.

Type the two cities in. The preview redraws while you watch.

How a coordinates piece is built

Three things go on it. You supply all three.

The two places

City centres by default, or an exact street address if you ask — we set those by hand at no extra cost.

The distance

Great-circle miles, computed from the coordinates and rounded to the nearest mile. Not an estimate.

The date

Usually the day you met, the day one of you left, or the day the countdown ends. Optional — leave it off and the line disappears.

The collection

Every piece here previews live.

No design fee, no proof wait. What you read on screen is the file we print.

Pick by relationship, not by product

The same print does three different jobs.

For a partner

Coordinates plus the date it started. The most-ordered version, and the one people frame rather than shelf.

For a best friend

Works better without a romantic date. Use the year you met, or the city you both left.

For family far away

Grandparents, a sibling abroad, a kid who moved out. Reads as belonging rather than longing.

Where the numbers come from

We would rather be boring and correct.

Coordinates resolve to each city’s civic centre unless you give us something more specific. Distance is great-circle, computed server-side, then rounded to the nearest mile — so it matches what a pilot would tell you, not what a driving app would.

If your two cities are the same, we print a line instead of a number. It reads better than “0 miles”.

Before you order

Questions people ask about these

Yes. Pick the nearest city in the dropdown, then write the real place name in your order notes — we replace it and re-set the coordinates by hand before printing, at no extra cost.

Yes, and a lot of people do — the house you grew up in, the bar you met at. Put the address in your order notes and we resolve it precisely.

Then the distance line becomes a short rule instead of a number, or we print the distance you used to be apart. Tell us which you want.

Just ask in the order notes. Same price, same turnaround.
